Target audience for my magazine

Target audience for my magazine

In order to sell magazine I have to see what I will be allowed to put to my magazine in order to get the specific target audience that will be interested in buying my magazine. I have researched what people are interested by looking at the different types of people depending on their jobs and education. I have looked at the acorn demographics calculations to see the different class of people to see what may be their possible interest.
Language

The magazine has to be written in language that the target audience uses in everyday life, if the magazine will be for kids the language have to be easy to understand. Teenagers’ uses slang which should be used in magazine for teenagers. Magazine for adults that have got families have to be written in formal language full of explanations and tips, where magazine for adults that are successful in their career such as Doctors, people who are working in business have to be written in very formal language .

Pictures
Magazine for kids will have to be colourful and use little bit of text. It has to represents pictures of nature such as flowers and animals and has rebuses. Magazines for teenagers have to have more text and fewer pictures than kids’ magazine. Pictures must represent people in their age and their issues. Magazine for adults who have kids have to have pictures of children and audiences about children and who to look after them (e.g. tips for doctors or psychologists). Magazine for successful adults have to have classical pictures – black and white and contain lots of text.

People are divided in to different classes from A-Q which is divided by the financial status. The “acorn “has collected data which shows the number of people for each groups information such as whether they are smokers, how many people have crime effaces from this group. By looking at this table I can guess what different groups of people are interested in. For example: this table show me that in group A there is
229. 000 people who have ISA so that shows me that my magazine could contain information about ISA in order to grab group A attraction.
My target audience
I’m producing music magazine. The target audience will be teenagers in age between 16yers old -25 years old which is linked as group F Definition; Students who rent flats, who have low income. I want my magazine to be specific for females.

This shows how many people are interested in group F in different facilities. This shows that they are mainly using e-mails and Phones to communicate so this is what type of advertisements and what they would like to read about.

My magazine is going to be a music magazine; teenagers in specific age group I have chosen are mainly interested in POP and R&B music.
What should my magazine include?
·         Pictures – females – R&B theme
·         65% of text
